Sistema AT-System per un facile impiego

The patented AT System makes it possible to assembly the shelter structures with no welding but screws only, thus reducing production time. With AT System it you can build every dimension structures in a completely automatic way.


The particular corner produced by Smitt in a special league is the base for producing the bearing structures without welding and by using screws only.


The structure patented bearing profiles are automatically produced from an elaborate forming machine fed with plate coils. The profiles come out already cut to measure and pierced. The productive capacity of this laminating machine is 2.500 shelter per month.

Smitt shelter is a prefabricated structure for housing radios, television and telephonic equipments, service wardrobes and electrical and thermal installations. AT System is based on the use of the patented AT angular blocks that permits to build the structure without welding and so reducing the production time. The main features are the extreme flexibility, the installing easiness and the possibility to be assembled directly on site, even in the less accessible places: it is indeed possible to reduce the number of tools and to employ not experienced workers. Furthermore, AT System makes it possible to realize “personalized” dimensions shelters upon request.The materials used come from an accurate selection in which the greatest attention is paid to their reliability, duration and environmental impact. Particularly, the shelter structure is constituted from hot galvanized iron profiles studied by Smitt, while claddings are made in self-extinguish sandwich panels with expanded polyurethane with 40 kg/m3 density and lateral plates in pre-varnished iron or inox steel upon the customer’s request. There are structural solutions for different destinations and functions, for example:

  • Double roof for avoiding shelter solar radiation and for reducing thermal indentation;
  • Double pitches roof for permitting a better rainfall outflow;
  • Floating floor for creating a cavity between the structural and the walking-off floors, useful for cables and ducts passage and distribution without obstructing the shelter useful area.



Shelters have patented and certified hermetic single entrance aluminium doors, positioned on one of the minor sides, with two reinforced hinges and with three closing points locks. Doors can have antipanic handles with blocking grips or normal handle locks. There are different types of doors for different needs.  




The possibility to expand the pavillon is very important even after the installation. Thanks to the chassis/panels structure modularity, it is possible to enlarge the base dimension by using new panels, with a considerable time and material saving: every structure components are used in order not to produce waste. The expanding kit is composed by up to 1000 mm segments, that’s why it is possible to enlarge the shelter till the size requested.


Perimeter walls are constituted from snap-fit modular panels, composed by galvanized 5/10 pre-varnished plates, between which there is a layer of nonconducting material made in polyurethanic selfextinguishing rigid anhygroscopic foam with a total density of 40 +/- 4Kg/mc. The panels total thickness can be 50 mm, 60 mm or 80 mm. The union of the single panels and the consequent isolation are possible thanks to the particular self-blocking modular configuration of the single elements with a special self-extinguishing gasket that guarantees a perfect thermal inner isolation in spite of the outer one. The roof structure guarantees a perfect lasting waterproof effect and an isolation from heat. The floor has a loading capacity of Kg 1500/mq and it is composed from a bearing reticulate, from insulated panels, from marine multilayer wood panels and from an antistatic linoleum covering.



The internal/external panels varnishing has a 50/60 microns thickness and is made by an acrylic varnish in the standard color White Grey RAL 9002 (pre-varnished). The protection

system is made from a 25+3 microns thickness dry film; the film is processed in accordance to the laws AICC n. 23, and it tested as follows: Hardness: test carried out through a pencil lead type F onto the Koh-i-Noor scale according to the law AICC n.1 1; Bending resistance: by applying Tesa 104 adhesive tape to a sample bended around a chuck with a diameter equal to three times the diameter of the very sample (3T), there is no bending; Brightness: measured through a Gardner gloss meter with 60° angle (laws AST D532) the specular gloss; Resistance in salt mine frog: according to the laws ASTM B117; Resistance in damp meter: according to the laws ASTM D2247.
